NOUN students has condemn fee hike and threaten nation-wide protest

Students at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) have rejected a tuition increase by the university’s leaders for both postgraduate and graduate students.

Students called the price increases outrageous and disrespectful in a statement issued on Monday, January 2, and while some of the university’s leaders co-signed, they called for the increased fees. I asked for a complete return to the status quo.

It was noted that the new undergraduate fee increased from his 36,000 to 55,000, excluding 1,500 exam registrations and 25,000 project fees. Graduate fees increased from #35,000 to #61,000.

According to the students, after conducting their own research and evaluation of students taking programs at other universities, including private universities, they found that none paid as much as NOUN.

Other NOUN students also took to social media to urge the school to cancel the hike or “expect the mother of all protests.”
