Mohbad Educational Journey and Life

Mohbad’s educational journey was characterized by obstacles and resilience. Despite facing interruptions in his schooling due to financial constraints, he later returned to complete his secondary education. His determination eventually led him to pursue a higher education in Accounting.

Not only was Mohbad musically gifted, but he also excelled academically.

He commenced his schooling at Upper Hand Nursery and Primary School in Sasa, Lagos State.

After completing his primary education, he transferred to Starey School, Lagos. He was close to finishing his education at this school when his family relocated.

Subsequently, he enrolled at Oshodi Secondary School, where he spent three years.

In 2009, his family moved to the Oke-Iletu community in Ikorodu.

Between 2009 and 2011, Mohbad faced a hiatus in his education due to financial constraints.

“In 2011, I made a promise to him that he could return to school once I had completed a project I was working on. The house we were building was the fourth house from where we currently live (Mohbad’s dad’s house). He told me he could help with the ceiling work, and after completing it, I earned N17,000. I assured him he would go back to school after we finished the project,” Aloba recalled.

In 2013, Aloba reenrolled Mohbad in Abifab College, Ikorodu. He took the National Examination Council Senior Secondary Certificate Examination in 2015 and passed all his papers in a single attempt.

The proprietor and principal of Abifab College, Ikorodu, Abidemi Faboye, where Mohbad graduated from, described him as a well-behaved individual.

“He never caused any trouble. He actively participated in the school’s music club and would lead with songs during quiz competitions. He was a promising child, a star,” Faboye shared with The PUNCH.

Upon completing his secondary education, Mohbad’s father worried about whether he could adapt to a tertiary institution after the years he had spent out of school.

However, “he eventually adapted,” Aloba added with a smile.

Mohbad spent two years at Esa-Oke Polytechnic, Osun state, pursuing a National Diploma in Accounting.
